Alex Okoroji Appointed G100 Global Chair for Media Arts & Communication

From the G100 Secretariat in India and office of the founder, Dr Harbeen Arora - presenting Alex Okoroji, FIMC, CMC, who in March 2021 accepted the appointment as G100 Global Chair - Media Arts & Communication, joining the elite G100, comprising an eminent group of top 100 powerful women with a vision to impact the future. 

Spearheading the shaping of G100 Media Arts & Communication (G-MAC), Alex Okoroji is responsible for the development of the sector's vision, strategy, network and mission to enhance the visibility and advancement of women working in media arts & communication across the world. An elite member of the eminent G100, Today she sits at the top of the sector's leadership as the G100 Global Chairperson for Media Arts & Communication. As the Global Chair, she leads the entire sector wing globally, developing the best guideposts for global policies from a collective and creative consciousness. She is committed to the G100 Pledge to create massive opportunities for more women and the G100 Pact of Purpose to nominate 100 Country Chairs across 100 different countries, as the sector builds its collective Vision Document.

WHAT THEY DO

G100 is an action think-tank, fostering more women's network with a global, cross-cultural, intersectional and intentional perspective towards peace, parity and prosperity for all. Their core activities involve networking, mentoring, collaborations, upskilling, community building, thought leadership, knowledge sharing, global campaigns, policy recommendations and awards & recognition.

THE PURPOSE

The mandate of G100 is to provide the thought leadership for the coming decade on what needs to be done for inclusivity and economic and social empowerment of women globally. Together they will define, design and determine a new future with equity, equal opportunity, inclusion and economic empowerment of women, and of all, through the inclusive agency of women.

Each member at G100 is a Global Chair for a Sector and leads that sector wing globally.

THE MISSION

To take the mission forward into deep interiors and into the hearts and minds of every woman and all communities, and to evolve the best guideposts for global policies from a collective and creative consciousness, each G100 chair is committed to a pact of purpose, creating massive opportunities for women worldwide.

Each Global Chair leads and represents the dreams and aspirations of 35 million women, both as an action group and a think tank. The far-reaching impact will energise a million women by 2022, and 5 million by 2025.

The G100 chairs will also evolve policy suggestions based on the actions and workings globally and present policy recommendations to governments and multilateral institutions worldwide.

By the global leadership of the G100 Global Chair, along with her denim partner, the global team and the inclusive insights fostered from the cross-continental and intersectional networks enabled by the country chairs, and our sister members in the respective chapters across the world, G100 will gather a rich repository of expertise and experience with global and grassroots engagement - toward co-creating with the central Secretariat, a holistic Vision Document for presenting policy suggestions and recommendations to multilateral institutions like the UN, and governments agencies globally.

G100 is under the auspices of the world's largest international women's chamber, All Ladies League (ALL) with over 250,000 members worldwide in 1000+ cities and is supported by the business ecocystem of the Women Economic Forum, Sheconomy and Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) with Bilateral Councils in 120 countries.

G-MAC is a multinational sector wing under the eminent G100 Club, a global network for Women using Media Arts and Communication to impact the world. As Gatekeepers of information, this G-wing is on a mission to create a thriving support network, opportunities and collaborative ecosystem for all media arts practitioners in 100 countries. G-MAC connects, recognizes and supports women in creative media, broadcast media, print media, news media, electronic media, digital or interactive media across domains like film, television, radio, publishing, internet and all media arts & communication segments, to expand networks, educate and celebrate their accomplishments.
