    Dr. Alex Okoroji is a Nigerian Actress and Creative leader navigating the world of Art, Media and Entertainment for almost two decades as an Artist, Media Personality and Creative Businesswoman. She is the Founder of The BRAG Media Group, a creative communications company with several platforms including – The BRAG Media Company, BRAG! Magazine, The BRAG Club, The BRAG Shop and The BRAG Media Foundation. She is also the Founder & President of G-Woman Media, Inc - a global digital broadcasting, publishing & production company creating women-centric content.

     

    Listed among the Most Influential Women in the World by Richtopia, in their Top 250 Power list’ as one of only 5 Nigerians on the list (alongside Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Oby Ezekwesili, Abike Dabiri, Amina J.     In 2018, she was nominated for "Woman of The Year in Entertainment" at the annual 'Woman of the Year Awards' by Her Network (HNWOTY) and also received a nomination for "Upwords Achievers Awards" by Upwords Magazine, India in 2019. And was named in Opera News in 2018 as one of the 10 Most Influential Women in Entertainment in Nigeria. She later received the "Exceptional Woman of Excellence" Award at the 2019 Annual Global Women Economic Forum (WEF) in India.

     

    In February 2020 in London, she received the "SHINE Legacy Award in Media" and was also awarded "Africa Most Influential Creative Consultant of the Year" at the 2020 edition of the Africa Leading Women Awards held in Abuja and in November 2020, she was also named one of "60 Women to Watch in 2021" by PAW Africa.

     

    Dr. Alex Okoroji received her Honorary Doctorate Degree from Rai University, Ahmedabad in India, and was conferred a Doctor of Philosophy, (D.Phil.), honoris causa on 20 July 2022.

     

    Dubbed the “Oprah of Africa” by many of her guests, Alex Okoroji is a former daytime TV Presenter and host of a LIVE international talk radio show syndicated on 14 digital networks around the world with over 4.6 million listens collectively and over 150 Hours of unfiltered and heart-centered conversations with global icons, business leaders, entertainers, and high-profile celebrity guests.

     

    She holds an Executive Master's in International Marketing Communications, a Mini Master's in Business Administration, a Bachelor's in Mass Communication, and Diplomas in Media Studies, in Acting and Performance, and Creative Writing. As well as Professional Certificates in Brand Management, from the University of London, Marketing and Communications from the International Business Management Institute, Berlin, and a Certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University. She is also an alumna of the Metropolitan School of Business & Management, UK, an associate alumna of the London Business School, and a beneficiary of the Bank of America (BofA) Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship program.

     

    Dr. Alex Okoroji is the author of 4 books, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). She is also an engaged community leader who was the National Coordinator for 4NL/4NN (4 New Lagos and 4 New Nigeria) a social pressure group and think-tank made up of entertainers and media celebrities advocating for a New Nigeria back in 2014.

     

    In 2018, Alex Okoroji was first invited to join other celebrities and celebrity activists around the world like Serena Williams and Demi Moore who participated in the annual CNN Freedom Project – a global media campaign against modern-day slavery.

     

    She began acting on television in 2005 and has almost two decades of acting experience well-versed in most aspects of performing - on television, film, theatre and voice acting, her training includes two years in community theatre and acting training workshops at the New York Film Academy and over 25 productions to her credit. Alex Okoroji is a Performing, Literary and Visual Artist with a creative career that cuts across various multimedia applications. She is a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and currently serves in the President's Cabinet as 'Director of International Affiliations'. She has been featured in movies and has played some of the best characters in popular Nigerian Television Soap Operas and TV Dramas.

     

    Alex Okoroji has written several scripts for TV Commercials, Documentaries, and award-winning screenplays for movies. As a top-notch Voice Actor, her voice has graced many international infomercials, radio dramas, animation, podcast intros, narrations, and commercials for television and radio.

    Alex Okoroji was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She is the daughter of a famous Nigerian Musician and former PMAN president Tony Okoroji and Fashion Designer Queen Mary Okoroji. Alex is the first child and has five younger siblings.

     

    In the Filmmaker section of the Nigerian Encyclopedia, " Total Facts About Nigeria" - She is mentioned as one of the "beauties and beautiful things" about Nigeria. Alex is the first 'African Woman Living in Africa' to be spotlighted for women's wisdom on "Women Rock Project", listed in the "Actress category" along with Debbie Allen, Vidya Balan, Meghan Markle, Suzanne Somers, Drew Barrymore, Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey and celebrated for her contributions to empowering people around the globe with her NAKED philosophy.

    ACTING CAREER

    She began her professional acting career on television when she "bumped into the consciousness of movie buffs with her superlative performance" in the maiden edition of the reality television show Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) in 2005 and featured in her first film "Calabar girl" in a supporting role alongside Annie Macaulay Idibia, Femi Brainard, Kunle Coker in 2005 and her first TV Soap Opera "Heavens Gate" in 2006.

     

    As an actress, she has worked in soap operas, film, theatre and done voice acting. She has also featured in TV commercials, recorded PSA's & jingles for radio, voiced TV shows and appeared in several music videos, including Weird MC's 2007 music video "Ready to Party".

    In 2017, Dr. Alex Okoroji appeared as a celebrity guest on the 'Hot Seat' of the 13th season of Nigeria's No. 1 Television Game Show, "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" and played alongside Tosin Ajirire, entertainment editor of The Sun Newspapers, to assist humanitarian founder, Dada Marquis raise money for The Dada Marquis Foundation. They won two million naira on the show - making it the highest celebrity win. She founded The BRAG Media Foundation as an initiative to provide media support, media advocacy, media literacy to SMEs, students and charitable organisations.

    EVENT HOST

    As the host of several high-profile events, she has presented & hosted red carpet events like the Nigerian Music Awards (NMA) in 2007, the Red Carpet at the Soundcity Music Video Awards (SMVA) in 2009 and was also the Official AMAA Red Carpet Co-Host alongside, Soundcity TV Popular VJ Adams at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards held at the Eko Hotel, Lagos in 2012.

 Our chapters and circles are designed to help all women in media arts & communication across the world network and grow their careers and businesses. However, all members may or may not be personally known to the global chair and country chairs or may have been referred by the community or another chapter member or may have registered independently on the website or may have contacted the organisation from social media or another way. G100 and G-MAC do not take any responsibility for any misrepresentation made by any member on any account. Please satisfy yourself of bonafide of people you connect to and evaluate relationships with due checks and balances, as you would do in life.


  The global network of our Soul Sisters and Supporters rely on our integrity and this trust needs to be fostered and safeguarded by every member with core values of care, concern and community spirit.


  We are non-religious and non-political. Our objective is to foster a spirit of “sisters beyond borders” for growing women’s exchange, empowerment and enterprise beyond borders. We are co-creating One family of women as Soul Sisters to help one another as a support ecosystem for personal and professional growth. Thus, all interactions in person, community hub or on social media should be positive and free of negativity.


  Information required on our registration form, including name, job title, picture, profile/bio, once submitted, may appear on our website or community platforms. Select information will be uploaded on our website/social media as part of the introduction, website profile, or event communications. Contact details submitted will form part of our newsletter and communication lists for membership and event updates.


  During our events, members, participants, designated photographers and event organisers may take photographs, play Livestream, record videos and audios, that can be used for G-Series, WEF Conference, G-MAC festivals, G-Spot Podcast and communication-related activities in print and electronic format.


  For physical events, it is the duty of every member to comply individually with their own health, safety, legal, visa & security regulations vis-à-vis their activities in relation to our global events, conferences, meetings, and forums and be duly informed and insured at a personal level, at all times.


  Any party can call off the arrangement anytime, without prejudice and without challenge in any Court of Law for any perceived breach on either side. Closure will be done in a spirit of goodwill without any obligations.


  If you cancel your booking for one of our paid global events or do not attend the event, the conference fee will not be refunded. G100 Secretariat and G-MAC Global Office is not connected to any other transactions that may take place directly with other vendors and conference coordinators around an event.


  We do not issue any visa recommendation letters except for the core team. Kindly ensure you meet the visa requirements of the respective country for your travel. Please note that the issuance of a Visa must be decided by the concerned authorities as per the rules & regulations of that country following all due norms ascertaining bonafide.


  We have a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment or any kind of intimidation or aggression that vitiates and violates our core values of care, concern and community spirit with mutual respect and regard. We reserve the right to admission at all times.


  G100 Media Arts & Communication (G-MAC) reserves the right to upload, remove or otherwise deal with any content as per its wish, without disclosing any reason thereof. In case of adverse situations, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone any event.


  G-MAC is a sector wing of G100 and ALL, both are non-profit NGOs. Since we operate a free membership model. We do not cover any costs. We believe everyone will gain a lot in terms of networking, learning and exploring new avenues and collaborative opportunities.


For our Select Paid Conferences and Events, costs are marginal compared to the benefits of an overall exposure on a global platform that boosts branding and business for all, and above all creates a priceless worldwide network of women where we can enable and empower one another.
