From the office of the Global Chair, Alex Okoroji, we are happy to announce the appointment of Lawyer, Podcaster, Author, Speaker, & Founder of The Shine Zone, Clara Rufai into the core Power Team as 'Director of Strategy & Planning' for the G100 Media Arts & Communication Wing (G-MAC).
On a mission to bring together brilliant women from across the world, in a pact of purpose to create equity and empowerment for women and ALL. G100 is an eminent club of top 100 powerful women leaders in the world with a vision to impact the future.
WHO THEY ARE
G100 comprises a league of luminaries of eminence and excellence including Nobel Laureates, former Heads of States, Ministers, Businesswomen, Philanthropists, Investors, Entrepreneurs, Corporate and Community Leaders - a powerful Group of women leaders and achievers from all walks of life who wish to give back and move us all forward as architects of the future.
WHAT THEY DO
G100 is an action think-tank, fostering more women's network with a global, cross-cultural, intersectional and intentional perspective towards peace, parity and prosperity for all. Their core activities involve networking, mentoring, collaborations, upskilling, community building, thought leadership, knowledge sharing, global campaigns, policy recommendations and awards & recognition.
THE PURPOSE
The mandate of G100 is to provide the thought leadership for the coming decade on what needs to be done for inclusivity and economic and social empowerment of women globally. Together they will define, design and determine a new future with equity, equal opportunity, inclusion and economic empowerment of women, and of all, through the inclusive agency of women.
G100 MEDIA ARTS & COMMUNICATION
G-MAC is a multinational sector wing led by the eminent G100 Club, for Women using Media Arts and Communication to impact the world. As Gatekeepers of information, this G-wing is on a mission to create a thriving support network, opportunities and collaborative ecosystem for media arts practitioners in 100 countries. G-MAC connects, recognizes and supports women in creative media, broadcast media, print media, news media, electronic media, digital or interactive media across domains like film, television, radio, publishing, internet and all media arts & communication segments, to expand networks, educate and celebrate their accomplishments.
THE POWER TEAM
The Power Team is the core global team appointed by the Global Chair, working as part of her advisory executive council to amplify the vision of the sector globally.
RESPONSIBILITY AS DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY & PLANNING
Director of Strategy & Planning will develop, orchestrate and implement strategies to ensure long-term growth and plans G-MAC overarching goals and vision. She will work together with the Director of Operations and the Operations Coordinator to review all relevant information and data to achieve sustainable growth towards G100 Mission Million.
ABOUT CLARA RUFAI
Clara Rufai is a Corporate Lawyer, Compliance Professional, Entrepreneur, Speaker, Podcaster and Coach with 3 decades of experience under her belt, mainly within the financial services sector. She expresses her brilliance in diverse ways, including as an Author, Book Consultant, Storyteller, and Mentor. She is the Editor-In-Chief of SHINE Magazine, President and Founder of The SHINE Zone, a social enterprise specialising in leadership and personal development.
She is the Host of the Shine Capsules Podcast, the Convener of the annual Leap and Shine Conference, and the Creator of the annual Shine Legacy Awards. Clara is an experienced network marketing professional leading a team of about 1,300 business partners and counting. She partners with thought leaders and Influencers, leveraging the extensive relationships she has built, to deliver valuable content that serves individuals, businesses and organisations. She created ‘The Shine Philosophy’, a strategy for living a purpose-driven life, which encourages people to look inward, to connect with their inner greatness and to showcase their brilliance. Popularly known as ‘The Shine Strategist’, Clara uses her SHINE Philosophy and platforms to empower people to (S)tart (H)arness (I)dentify (N)etwork and (E)xpress their brilliance, so they can travel on a more rewarding and fulfilling path in life.
She is a multiple awards recipient, some of which include the Iconic Woman Award at the Annual Global Women Economic Forum (WEF) in India, a Humanity Award and a Motivational Award from Powerhouse Global. She has been inducted into The World Book of Greatness 2020 as a ‘Creator of Greatness’, and received the Prestigious ‘CEO's Award for Excellence’ in the course of her banking career. She is the author of the BEFFTA Award Nominated book 'PRISON BREAK: The 9 to 5 Escape Agenda - Taking the Leap from Limitation to Liberation. She has also co-authored two other books: a 3-time bestselling anthology titled ‘The Journey to Purpose’ (published 2016) and ’40 Pearls of Wisdom’ (published 2019).
